Kindness is Like Snow

Kindness is like snow ...

“Kindness is like snow—it beautifies everything it covers.” —Kahlil Gibran

Kindness beautifies…

It turns frowns to smiles, uplifts the weary soul, and spreads rays of healing light everywhere it goes. Like snow, it also purifies, by covering the pain of our past with a glistening white blanket of love!

In a world so desperate for peace, acts of kindness have the power and potential to bridge every divide and heal every heart. It truly beautifies the world. Mark Twain wrote, “Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” God’s Word also tells us that practical acts of love are more than words . . . PEACE IN POLITICS, IS IT POSSIBLE?

Peace in Politics, is it possible?

Peace in politics, is it really possible?

Imagine a world where every driver held to their own rules for the road. Or where each road had a different set of rules for drivers. There would be chaos, heartbreak, and lots of accidents. In my opinion, this is why our country is in chaos politically. Even our Constitution and Bill of Rights cannot prevent this, because even if we dissected every word, trying to come to some sort of universal definition and agreement about each word, we would still have our different views (rules for our road). For example: we can’t even agree on the definition of “life” as shown by our thoughts on abortion. The Constitution and Bill of Rights themselves allow for diversity in thought.  Continue reading “PEACE IN POLITICS, IS IT POSSIBLE?”

Loved With An Everlasting Love

I have loved you with an everlasting love.—Jeremiah 31:3

Do you ever doubt God’s love for you?
While reading this verse my eye was drawn to the word “everlasting.” Everlasting means enduring through all time, or eternal. God loves His children with this kind of love. That means there is absolutely nothing we can do to stop His love. When we are faithless, He remains faithful. When the world turns its back on us, He draws even closer to us. When we fall, He picks us up.  Continue reading “Loved With An Everlasting Love”

When I Am Afraid

The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid?

What do you do when you’re afraid?

When I was a child, if I was ever afraid at night, I would turn on the light. This went on for years . . .
Imagine a fearful child laying in bed and saying, “Mommy, please turn on the light, I’m scared.” The mother gives her child a warm hug and walks to the light switch to turn it on. Then one day, Jesus stepped in and said,
“Dear Child, I am your light! Why should you be afraid?”
