Dear God, life is crazy right now with this global pandemic, and I have no idea what lies ahead. Everything is changing—our routines are changing, work is changing, activities are changing . . .
Happiness Tip: Count your blessings not your sorrows
As the leaves change color, I’m getting excited for one of my favorite upcoming holiday celebrations– Thanksgiving! Not so much because of the food and fellowship, (although those are awesome!), but because of the focus on gratitude. There’s something about being thankful and counting my blessings that makes me happy. Not just smiley happy, but really happy, deep inside. Praying you’ll experience greater joy today as you lift your heart to God.
“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” (Psalm 107:1).
Today is a new day filled with things to be thankful for. But if you’re feeling a tad blue, you may be tempted to go through your day and count your sorrows, and forget to count your blessings. Been there, done that, as I’m sure we all have. The result is often a troubled heart. Thankfully, there’s an awesome antidote to chase away the blues— counting our blessings.
Enjoy the Journey . . .
We’ve heard it said.
We’ve seen it written on cards or on social media.
We’ve had friends tell us, “Just relax, enjoy the journey.”
It’s an awesome encouragement, but, it’s not always easy to find joy in a painful moment, or along a broken road.
So, what’s the key to finding joy in life’s journey, especially when times are tough?
