How the Virus Stole Easter
By Kristi Bothur

With a nod to Dr. Seuss 😊

“Twas late in ‘19 when the virus began
Bringing chaos and fear to all people, each land.

People were sick, hospitals full,
Doctors overwhelmed, no one in school.

As winter gave way to the promise of spring,
The virus raged on, touching peasant and king.

People hid in their homes from the enemy unseen.
They YouTubed and Zoomed, social-distanced, and cleaned.

Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled, Look Up!

A prayer for troubled hearts.

Encouraging words for troubled hearts . . .

Beloved of God, let not your heart be troubled. Look up! Lift your eyes above all the chaos and noise and discouraging news updates. Look to God. Trust him with all your heart. Talk to him continually. Hold fast to his faithful promises and love for you, and find peace…

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” (Isaiah 26:3).

“And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

Pawz and Pray,

Sweet Jesus, help me to lift my thoughts above all the disquieting things around me. Help me to center my thoughts on you, and find peace. Amen.

When Life Hurts Cling to These 3 Powerful Truths

When life hurts cling to these powerful truths

Encouraging words for troubled hearts . . .

When life hurts, there are many powerful Truths in God’s Word to lean on. These 3 often bring me the most comfort. If you’re hurting today, for any reason, cling to these 3 powerful truths:
God is good,
God loves you,
God is with you!

“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” 1 Chronicles 16:34

“But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.” Psalm 86:15

“And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

Sweet Jesus, when life hurts, help me to refocus on your goodness and love, and all your blessings. Thank you for being with me every moment of the day, for being my help, my anchor, and my hope. Amen.

Enjoy the Journey . . .

We’ve heard it said.

We’ve seen it written on cards or on social media.
