Hi, I’m Leila—author, dog mom, nature lover, always chasing beauty and finding God’s fingerprints in the everyday mess and magic of life.

I write from the heart, weaving together faith, furry friends, and the meaningful moments that shape our journeys. From devotionals and stories to guided journals and practical companion resources, my hope is to offer comfort, encouragement, and inspiration for the road ahead.

Over the years, my writing has appeared in Royal Spaniels Magazine, Quiet Hour Devotional, and other publications. I’ve been honored by the Dog Writers Association of America with several nominations and awards, including the AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Public Service Award and the 2023 DWAA Book Award for A Dog Show Companion.

I hold a B.A. in Christian Education with a minor in Biblical Studies and stay active in my church. Before becoming an author, I was a professional ballet dancer. The many chapters of my life continue to shape my writing.

When I’m not writing or sipping tea with my pups curled beside me, you’ll likely find me baking something sweet, strolling with my husband and dogs, or sitting on the porch, marveling at God’s creation.
