A Gentle Nudge [ Not To Worry ]

Be Anxious for Nothing

Hey there friends! I hope your having a sunny day. But if you’re feeling down, anxious, and worried, here’s a gentle nudge from God’s Word to encourage you . . .

“Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.” —Philippians 4:6-8 Message translation

    1. Thank you so much Jeff! My book, “Love’s Gentle Nudge: Finding Hope, Healing, and Happiness” will be out soon. I would treasure your prayers as I plan the launching. Even a tiny nudge like a book filled with encouragement could brighten someone’s world. At least, that is my prayer 🙏🏻

  2. Wonderfully uplifting.. We spend most of our lives worrying about the past, living in regret and carrying wounds, we then spend most of our time worrying about the future, and what it will bring.. Seldom do we live in the MOMENT OF NOW, The only true moment we live in the gift we have been given the PRESENT..
When we learn to live in our now, and Let Go of worrying, we then begin to enjoy the experience of the present we have been gifted..
    Many thanks for sharing Leila..
    Love and Blessings

    1. Thank you Sue for your encouragement and uplifting words! I agree wholeheartedly. We worry way too much about the future. Each day I need God to help me in that area. And He’s so faithful to give me peace. Have a blessed and peaceful day ❤️
