I had a dog once who was scared to cross a bridge. Maybe she was unsure about what lay on the other side. Or maybe her precious paws didn't like the feel of the worn wood. Or maybe it was the feeling of it being narrow or closed in . . .
Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. Grateful for the cross 💜
Cross Thoughts . . . When I think about the cross of Christ so many thoughts and emotions come to mind. The foremost thought being gratefulness, and the foremost emotion being peace. When we begin our day with a grateful heart we won't find room to complain. Thankfulness and negativity cannot co-exist.
“Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone but in every leaf of springtime.” —Martin Luther Dear friend, when you're weary from lingering pain, whether emotional or physical, recall to mind the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ: "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" ( John 16:33). Jesus overcame evil through the resurrection from the dead. Through faith in Him we can find the power to overcome our trials. In Christ we have hope! . . .
