A dear older friend who lives alone told me recently that she’s never really alone, because she can talk to God anytime she wants. What a precious reminder that God is always with us. One of God’s names is Emmanuel, which means “God with us.”
If you feel alone today, please talk to God. Have faith that He is with you, that He loves you, and is listening.
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel (which means, God with us)” —Matthew 1:23
“… And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”—Jesus, (Matthew 28:20)
The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”— Zephaniah 3:17
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” —Joshua 1:9
