These are hard times, with the covid pandemic and all the consequences of having our nation shut down. People are suffering in the US and all around the world, and need hope. When you need hope, the best place to turn is to the God of hope! God can work miracles, and there is always hope for those who trust in him! Let’s pray . . .
Heavenly Father, today, I need hope. I need to know that you are with me and see all that’s happening in my life and around the world. Please give me the assurance that you are here with me now, guiding me as I walk through this day. I surrender to you every challenge that I’m dealing with and ask you to carry my burdens. I resign from trying to take control over my life. Have your way Lord! Be the ruler over every area of my life, and help me to relax knowing that you love me and are in control.
I surrender to you every thought that has been making me feel weak, defeated, and hopeless. I take captive every thought that tries to rise up against your Truth. In the place of despairing thoughts, I choose to meditate on good, pure, lovely, and hope-filled thoughts. Restore my soul today as I fix my thoughts on you— help me to hope in you, to trust you with all my heart, and to be joyful and peaceful in you. Mostly, help me to rest in your love today knowing that you are by my side.
Today, I choose hope! I choose to trust you and believe that you are helping me with every every problem, worry, and fear. I trust that you are helping me now, and will continue to help me in the days ahead as our nation and nations around the world walk through this pandemic. Thank you for taking care of me every single day. I don’t need to fear tomorrow, because you are with me! Please watch over my family and friends and anyone who needs hope today. Show us all the way out of discouragement. Help us to put our hope in you and trust, according to your Word that—“Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:31).”
Fill me with love, joy, and peace now, for my hope is in you, my Savior and my God! I ask all this in Jesus name. Amen
