Comforting Words, When You Can’t Find Your Way

Sometimes, we feel lost, anxious and afraid. The reasons are as numerous as the stars. These are not pleasant feelings. But there is a bright side . . .

From experience, I can share that when I can’t find my way, or my heart feels restless and unsure, I’m compelled to look to God and search his Word. When we turn to God, it’s like turning our gaze towards the sun!

God’s Word is a light to our feet. The Psalmist wrote:

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my Path. Psalm 119:105

If you’re feeling lost today, your heart is heavy, and tears have become all too common, take courage in God’s Word. Let it lift you up and light your path, and the dark shadows will fall behind. God’s Word is filled with hope!

Feeling lost isn’t the end, dear friend. There’s a light available to you. When you follow it, you’ll find hope, and new beginnings! Trust God to lead you today. Walk in the light, as he is in the light, and you’ll find your way.

Pray with me;

Dear God, help me to trust you, when my eyes are filled with tears, and I can’t find my way. Show me which way to go. Lead me, and I will follow. Amen.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Psalms 32:8

  1. Amen. Beautiful. Yes, sometimes we can’t see very far ahead, but his Word is a lamp to our feet, not a floodlight for the whole highway. ;) We need to let go of our need to know and control everything and just trust Him.
