Are You in Deep Waters?

Have you ever felt like you’re in deep waters and running out of strength to stay afloat?

Have you ever been hurt or rejected to the point of feeling like you’re drowning in pain?

Have you ever felt helpless to overcome troubling thoughts, lost in a sea of bitter memories and regrets?

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by your list of “to do’s”?

If so, take comfort in these words from our Heavenly Father God—

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:2

God is with you, dear friend. Turn to Him for help at all times, especially when you’re in pain. Talk to Him about everything you are feeling. He loves you, He is with you, and He is more than able to help you! Lean on Him for strength.

I wish I had a quick fix to pull out every person who feels like they’re struggling in deep waters. But I am nothing in and of myself … I have no power or wisdom. I have no life line other than a few positive words. But I know the One who is all wise and all powerful, and MORE THAN ABLE! His name is Jesus Christ. He’s pulled me out of turbulent, miry, deep waters numerous times over my life, and He’s done the same for countless others all across the globe!

If you’re struggling today, talk to God. I think we often minimize the power of prayer. But it’s truly our spiritual life line to pull us up when we’re feeling down.

May you know how wide, how long, how high, and how deep God’s love is for you.
