Anxious, depressed, confused, lost, broken, hopeless, weighed down by sin, in need of a Savior?
The name Jesus means “Savior.” It’s the same name as Joshua in the Old Testament. Jesus is given this name because “He saves His people from their sins.” He does this by cleansing them in His own atoning blood and putting in their hearts His sanctifying Spirit. And He will give them a glorious body at the last day, and they will live with Him forever and ever!
When I was 16, I received Jesus Christ as my Savior. That was day one of an incredible healing journey! He rescued me from the dominion of darkness (Colossians 1:13), set me free from loads of heartache over the years (Luke 4:18), and healed inner wounds (Psalm 147:3). And He’s not done with me yet. According to scripture, I’m a work in progress (Philippians 1:6) and a masterpiece in the making. He’s so good!
Are you in need of a Savior? Draw near to the Father with boldness today, this very moment, and find mercy and grace through Christ. God delights in showing mercy. “For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him” (John 3:17)
