Hi, I’m Leila—author, dog mom, nature lover, always chasing beauty and finding God’s fingerprints in the everyday mess and magic of life.

I write from the heart, weaving together stories of faith, furry friends, and all the little things that make life meaningful. Whether I’m reflecting on a muddy paw print, a golden sunset, or the pain that sneaks in sometimes, my goal is to share comfort, joy, and encouragement for the journey.

Over the years, my writing has found its way into places like Royal Spaniels Magazine, Quiet Hour Devotional, and other sweet corners of the publishing world. I’ve been honored by the Dog Writers Association of America with several nominations and awards, including the AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Public Service Award and the 2023 DWAA Book Award for A Dog Show Companion.

Before all this, I was a professional ballet dancer—can you picture the twirls and tutu? I also earned a B.A. in Christian Education and stay active in my church and the wonderful world of canine sports. All these bits and pieces of life—faith, family, dogs, art, and nature—somehow come together in my writing like patchwork on a cozy quilt.

When I’m not scribbling down thoughts or sipping tea with my pups curled beside me, you’ll likely find me baking something sweet, strolling with my husband and dogs, or just sitting on the porch, marveling at God’s creation and giving thanks for the simple joys of life.

My life motto?
Fully Loved, Forever Changed.
