Each time my dogs run to greet me at the door, snuggle in my lap, listen patiently to my troubles, or lavish me with kisses (whether those kisses are deserved or not), I am reminded of the power of love. Love comforts, heals, restores, helps us feel valued, fills the heart with hope, and so much more!
Love is not only powerful, it is also essential! In fact, nothing we do, say, or achieve in life really matters without genuine love.
We all get busy and overwhelmed at times, and prayer often falls to the wayside. Read this uplifting story (inspired by my furry friends!) from my book, “Pawz & Pray,” and be encouraged to begin your day with Jesus. He loves you, and cares about everything that concerns you!
In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. — Psalm 5:3
Making lists can be very useful, but when anxious thoughts greet us with the sunrise, nag at us all day, and accompany us to bed, something is out of balance. Recently I became so overwhelmed with my “to do” list all I could do was cry. Yet while the storm was raging within, my dog lay calmly by my side without a care in the world. She knew where to turn for all her needs.
Well, if you’re lacking creative ideas, I’ve got ten to share. And the best part is, they’re all free!
There are millions who suffer from depression and loneliness, especially this time of year. While interacting with folks this holiday season, pay special attention to those around you. A genuine smile is often the best way to say Merry Christmas, and to brighten someone’s say. “Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love” (Mother Teresa).
