Have hard times come your way? Is your heart heavy with care?
Jesus is saying to you, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world! (John 16:33). These are the precious words of our beloved Savior, who died for our sins, rose from the dead, and lives forever to intercede with God on our behalf! (Hebrews 7:25).
That’s the good news we cling to as children of God. Jesus has overcome all the works of the enemy and he is sitting at the right hand of the Father pleading our case! We have the most powerful advocate and faithful friend we could ever hope for. So take heart, dear friend! Don’t lower your gaze when hard times come. Instead, look up! Take heart, trust in God’s goodness and love (Read 23 verses about God’s goodness), and consider troubles as an opportunity for great joy! God is always up to something good!Continue reading “Good New for Hard Times! [Short Encouraging Words]”

To my brothers and sisters in the Lord:
During my prayer time this morning I felt like I heard this question in my spirit—
If you had a common enemy, would you not stand against him?
That got me thinking about the widening political divide. We cannot be ignorant of the devils schemes. We have a common enemy— the devil! And he’s baiting us into war! People are not our enemy, the devil is. Hear God’s Word:
“Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8).
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”—Ephesians 6:11-12Continue reading “Don’t Take the Bait!
