Each time my dogs run to greet me at the door, snuggle in my lap, listen patiently to my troubles, or lavish me with kisses (whether those kisses are deserved or not), I am reminded of the power of love. Love comforts, heals, restores, helps us feel valued, fills the heart with hope, and so much more!
Love is not only powerful, it is also essential! In fact, nothing we do, say, or achieve in life really matters without genuine love.

Married, a mother of two children, I finally felt we were ready for a family pet. My husband conceded (well, I didn’t ask him. Oops!). And so, we brought home a cuddly Labrador retriever puppy! Goldy was our sunshine during rainy days, and the stable, strong force that made us all feel continually protected and loved. I stand in awe of all the wonderful things she taught me.
And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
