Short Prayer for Post Election Day Anxiety

Post Election Day anxiety is something many are dealing with today. The wait, the worry . . . what will tomorrow hold?

Post Election Day stress and anxiety is very real for many folks, especially since the full 2020 election results may not be in for few more days. But there’s really no need to worry. God loves us and is still on his throne! Pray this short uplifting prayer, meditate on the verses below, and receive God’s peace.

Pause and pray . . .

Dear God, I don’t know what tomorrow holds, but I do know that you hold tomorrow. Please help me to keep my eyes fixed on you. Amen

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”

Isaiah 26:3

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Eternal, “plans for peace, not evil, to give you a future and hope—never forget that.”

—1 Jeremiah 29:11 (Voice)
