Happiness Tip: Lean on God

Happiness tip: Don’t try to do life on your own. Lean on God for strength. Begin your day with Jesus, and stay close to Him throughout the day.

Some days we wake up tired and weary, and lacking joy. Those days are awesome reminders that we need God. They also give us the opportunity to experience his power and strength working in and through us as we lean on him. We don’t have to do life on our own. God is with us and wants to help us.

Do you need a little extra strength today? How about a little more joy or peace? Wait on God, trust him, lean on him, love him. For he gives power to the weak, and strength to the powerless …

“Have you not known?

Have you not heard?

The everlasting God, the LORD,

The Creator of the ends of the earth,

Neither faints nor is weary.

His understanding is unsearchable.

He gives power to the weak,

And to those who have no might He increases strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary,

And the young men shall utterly fall,

But those who wait on the LORD

Shall renew their strength;

They shall mount up with wings like eagles,

They shall run and not be weary,

They shall walk and not faint.”

Isaiah 40:28–31 (NKJV)

Father God, some days are harder than others. Often I feel weary. Please remind me that I don’t have to do everything on my own. I can lean on you. Thank you for your constant presence and willingness to help me. Please renew my strength and restore my joy as I wait on you. Amen
