Nothing Can Separate You

Happy thought . . .
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Can our selfishness, ignorance, pride, anger, brokenness …?

Absolutely not!

Even when we fall to the ugliest place we can turn our eyes back to heaven and be restored. I think of the story of the prodigal son, found in Luke 15:11-32. After living a wayward life, he finally returns home and finds his father ready and waiting to welcome him home… not with judgment, rather with open arms and a feast!

What a beautiful picture of the love, mercy, and grace of God the Father for His children.

It’s because of God’s amazing love that we can draw close to Him in our most dire and broken moments, be restored, and receive comfort, hope, and peace. Absolutely nothing can tear us away from God’s perfect love …

“For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” —Romans 8:38-39
