Taking Time Away from Blogging and Why

lg TAKING TIME AWAY FROM BLOGGING 2.jpg

Sometimes you just need time away. Something deep within you is calling you to the quiet. When that happens, it’s important to listen . . .

As with anything in life, sometimes we just need a little time away to refresh our spirits, fill up, and figures things out. That said, I just wanted to send a little note to say that I will be taking some time away from blogging, and to share why.

When life gets a bit crazy, and too much gets on my plate, I usually sense it in my spirit. For those who may not know me, I’m your ordinary person leading an ordinary life, who sometimes gets a little too much on my plate. I’m a busy home-maker—wife and mom, and the owner of several adorable doggies. I’m also involved with my church and volunteer work, and travel around with my dogs to conformation dog shows. All things I absolutely love! I also love my writing ministry which I do on the side.

At present, I am writing for a Christian devotional, and trying to finish 2 book projects that are calling for attention. I also have two blogs at LeilaGrandemange.com and PawzandPray.com . As many of you know, writing takes inspiration. I’ve never wanted to write apart from that sweet sense of knowing that the words I write come from something deeper within. That something deeper is many things to many people. For me, it’s the fruit of time spent with Jesus Christ, praying, studying His Word, and reflecting on life experiences.

In order to pour out, I need to fill up.

That said, I’m taking a step back from blogging and some other social media outlets to simplify my life and nurture my relationship with God, family and friends, while trying to finish my two books. I love blogging and connecting with other bloggers. There are so many talented, spirit-filled writers out there that share encouragement. I want to thank you for blessing me with your writing ministry. I hope to pop in now and then to say hi, as time allows. See you soon!

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.” — Numbers 6:24-26

  1. I can certainly relate. I enjoy reading your blogs but I know when God needs you to focus on other things, we must obey God. Can’t wait until you blog again, I’ll be waiting. May God continue to pour his blessings over your life.
