Kindness beautifies…

It turns frowns to smiles, uplifts the weary soul, and spreads rays of healing light everywhere it goes. Like snow, it also purifies, by covering the pain of our past with a glistening white blanket of love!

In a world so desperate for peace, acts of kindness have the power and potential to bridge every divide and heal every heart. It truly beautifies the world. Mark Twain wrote, “Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” God’s Word also tells us that practical acts of love are more than words . . .“Little children (believers, dear ones), let us not love [merely in theory] with word or with tongue [giving lip service to compassion], but in action and in truth [in practice and in sincerity, because practical acts of love are more than words]. ” (1 John 3:18 AMP)

In thinking about random acts of kindness to share I came across an amazing website called Acts of Kindness. I’d like to encourage you to check it out. It’s loaded with oodles of ideas for acts of kindness across different themes. Their tag line is “small acts that change the world.”
Today is filled with opportunities for acts of kindness. May God open our eyes and ears to the needs around us, and grant us the courage to step out in faith to do what we can to make the world a brighter place. Enjoy this little video which shows people sharing kindness with someone in need . . .
