Broken But Beautiful

imperfection
A few days ago, I was walking downtown and saw this old iron gate.
I was drawn to it. I took this photo and thought …
It’s broken,
It’s off balance,
and yet it’s so beautiful!
Somehow it reminds me of humanity.
I imagine God pausing to ponder His creation, seeing the broken, and those whose lives are out of balance … and then calling us beautiful.
There’s beauty in brokenness. People everywhere are drawn to the rustic and old, the furniture with chipped paint and tattered edges.
I’m drawn to it . . . not sure why.
Maybe somehow I see myself in it.
There’s beauty in brokenness, if we simply pause long enough to see ❤
