Blessings [What Does it Really Mean?]

“Blessings”, by Laura Story seems to touch on almost every human experience of suffering, doubt, and brokenness . . . and yet it’s full of HOPE! Close your eyes for a moment. Listen carefully to the words and ponder the meaning of the word “blessings.” I’m certain that we all want to be “blessed”. But what does the word “blessing” really mean? Are we still being “blessed” when trials come our way?

After hearing her song, take a moment to listen to the story behind the song. It’s about 2 minutes. Through her own personal struggles and trials,  Laura helps us to see the word “Blessings” in a different light . . .

Dear friends, if you’re suffering, filled with doubt, or feel “broken”, you are not alone. At the time of posting this about 10 million people have listened to her song, and no doubt are searching for hope. I sensed tremendous hope and healing through her song, and her honest words.

Life is not always easy! If you are one of those who are struggling, I’d like to invite you to read this Prayer For HOPE. I wrote it out of my own struggles and need for God. I don’t have all the answers, but I do have hope through Jesus Christ.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-25

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
