 The Lord’s Prayer  — ESV version Matthew 6:9–13

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Prayer For Hope, by Leila Grandemange

When you feel hopeless and helpless, pray this—

Dear God help me to find hope, despite my circumstances and how I feel. My situation is not hidden from Your eyes. You are all-knowing, and all-loving. I ask you to give me the hope and assurance I need to get me through this moment, this hour, and this day. I refuse to feel hopeless and helpless. I declare today . . .

“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”—Philippians 4:13

As I begin my day, I surrender to you all my burdens, problems, and challenges. I also surrender my weaknesses, defeat, failure, and lack. Help me to know that You are with me, helping me, loving me. I resign from taking control over my life, from worry, and from fear. Revive me now once again and fill my heart with hope and peace as I place my trust in You. I declare today,

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”—Isaiah 26:3

God help me today to fix my thoughts on You—to dwell on all that is good and lovely and pure, and to know that You love me and are caring for all my needs . . . even now. I declare that HOPE is in me, because You are in me, working all things for my good, for Your purposes and glory.

In Jesus name. Amen

A Prayer For Hope, by Prayers for Special needs website

Heavenly father, I am your humble servant, I come before you today in need of hope. There are times when I fell helpless, There are times when I feel weak. I pray for hope. I need hope for a better future. I need hope for a better life. I need hope for love and kindness.

Some say that the sky is at its darkest just before the light. I pray that this is true, for all seems dark. I need your light, Lord, in every way.

I pray to be filled with your light from head to toe. To bask in your glory. To know that all is right in the world, as you have planned, and as you want it to be.

Help me to walk in your light, and live my life in faith and glory.

In your name I pray, Amen.

Make Me An Instrument of Your Peace

“Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
It is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life.”[5]

Lord, Take My Mind

Lord, take my mind and think through it,

Lord, take my mouth and speak through it,

Lord, take my will and bend it to your will,

Lord, take my heart and set it on fire with love for you.

The Lord Is My Shepherd

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Psalm 51:1-8 (NCV), A Prayer for Forgiveness

God, be merciful to me
    because you are loving.
Because you are always ready to be merciful,
    wipe out all my wrongs.
Wash away all my guilt
    and make me clean again.

I know about my wrongs,
    and I can’t forget my sin.
You are the only one I have sinned against;
    I have done what you say is wrong.
You are right when you speak
    and fair when you judge.
I was brought into this world in sin.
    In sin my mother gave birth to me.

You want me to be completely truthful,
    so teach me wisdom.
Take away my sin, and I will be clean.
    Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Make me hear sounds of joy and gladness;
    let the bones you crushed be happy again.

Colossians 1:9-12 (NIV), Paul’s Prayer for Knowing God’s Will

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
